Handmade Photo Frame Project

Good Morning Folks!
I have a holiday gift idea for you...

Here is what the backside looks like

I can see some cute wallet sized photos going in there as well as some great holiday quotes!!

Here is how it got put together...

I used the new Tim Holtz Cabinet Dies both large and small.  Eclectic Paperie will order these for you!!  I love these dies because they cut chipboard soooo well!!

I put them inside each other and cut my images out in chipboard.

This is what you will get from one cut.  You will need four of these.
You will also need two hinges to hold the piece together.  I cut 2 2 1/4 x 1 1/2 pieces from card stock and scored them 1/2 inch and 1 inch.
This is how I glued it together.
I then added the chipboard frame and decorative paper to cover the hinges.
Hint: Cut the paper and chipboard at the same time so that it matches up perfectly!!
Here are all the pieces hinged together glued and edges inked with Vintage Photo.
Now it is time to decorate it !!!!! Whooo hoooo FUN!!!
I used KaiserCraft 6x6 Twig and Berry Paper Pad....love these pads because they come with tags and paper embellies!!!
I embellished with a Tim Holtz Poinsettia, Art Parts, spools, stick pins and gems.
I adhered the paper to the chipboard with Matte Medium.  Believe me you will NOT be disappointed if you glue paper to chipboard with this product...you edges will not lift and you get a smooth look.  Apply it with a foam brush and you are golden!!!
I painted the inside of the frames and the corner flourish art parts with Antique Bronze Distress Stain.
The round windows are from Maya Road (I glued different paper to the background) and they got stained with Peeled Paint and  Fired Brick.  The stickers are from KaiserCraft.
I hope you get a chance to make one of these for yourself or someone special!!!
Happy Crafting :-) Donna-Marie
