Thanks for the memories: Andiepants

I can't believe it's over! eP has been a wonderful place to design for, receive inspiration from, and chat with other scrap-minded individuals. My time here has been brief but soooo well worth it. Thank you so much Kim for the opportunity to serve on the DT here.

Here are a few of my favorite eP projects from over the last year.

Loved this tissue cozy made for my third grade teacher

and the top

This was my first page made for eP and also perfect for this time of year:

Loved the altered bag I made for my sister:

and finally my most favorite pages of all time:

I sincerely hope you enjoyed my stroll down memory lane. Thank you so much for all the lovely comments over the last year and all the support.

Thanks for the Memories - Kim Schofield

Wow...these memory sharing blog posts have had me all chocked up.  Seriously, I can't even express how special it's been to read the posts this month and to see all of the beautiful art.  So many times my mind would remember, with delight, some of the projects that have been shared again.  Everyone on our team is so talented and have been such a pleasure to work with...Oh, girls, I am going to miss having this blog and viewing the stunning art.  It has been such a privilege...  Thank you for the very bottom of my heart!!

Just a reminder...while the blog will become much more quiet starting in November, the online store is still open and will be for a few more months so please keep shopping!  All of the craft goodies, now taking over our basement, need to find loving homes! **smile**

And now...I'm excited to share some of my favorites from the past few years...Enjoy!

My very first attempt at Wendy Vecchi/mixed media work.  Wendy was kind enough to agree to participate with us in a Make Art blog hop, just a few months after I purchased the store.  That event helped to rocket me in to my exploration of all things Wendy.  I have now come to love her work and sense of style.  This is one of those pieces that is going to be displayed on a wall in our house...what a great memory.
This book was my first real project I created using Art Anthology sprays, and I fell in love with their soft colors and the way they react with water and inks.  This album contains photos of my sweet boys and so it's extra special to me.  I also loved the look of Catherine Scanlon's flowers against the teal background.  This was also the first time I hand bound a book!

My very first art journal page...that I liked! LOL!  Until this point, I had been pretty much making a hot mess and these pages had started out much the same way....and then I broke out the gesso.  This was teh result of an evening spend trying to embrace my own style vs. re-creating another artist's style.  This layout will always put a smile on my face.
Using class samples to create mini art journal pages...fun, fun, fun!  I have 15 or more of these pages and about half of them are already finished.  I can't wait to bind them all together in to one book.
I love this face stamp from Wendy Vecchi...love, love, love it!  I created this tag to demonstrate a technique to one of our customers...and that makes me happy.  Helping customers discover the joys of creating and experimenting with products is the absolute best part of this job.
I drew a face!  Need I say more!  This was from a Tamara Laporte class (this is definitely her style), but I never would have known who Tam was or any other mixed media artists if it wasn't for eP and I am so grateful for getting to have the amazing experience of learning how to draw, shade, color, etc.  What a treat!

Gelli plates!  The most fun ever was creating 30 journal pages in a Catherine Scanlon class.  I've finished a few of those 30 pages, but this continues to be my favorite layout and it's so me...script, a circle, and a face...what more do you need?
Can I open and end with a Wendy piece?  Of course I can!  This is the front of my stamp storage binder that I created from scraps that were sitting on my studio table.  I love little houses and I was so excited about the final results.

Well, friends, there is so much more I could share, but I'm going to sign off for now and send along my very biggest and heart felt thank you!!  This has been a most amazing journey!!

Hugs!!

Thanks for the memories, Steph Ackerman

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today.  By now you know that eclectic Paperie is closing it's doors.  That also means the end of the blog and the design team.

We have had a fabulous run as members of the eclectic Paperie Design Team and wish to thank you all for your interest and support over the years. With the eP blog coming to a close at the end of the month, we all wanted to do something special to celebrate the fabulous friendships, tons of inspiration from other team members, from Kim, and from all those who participated in our challenges. Each of the current DT members is taking a day to post some of her favorite makes from her time on the eclectic Paperie team. We hope you enjoy the look back.

While I've only been on the team a short while,  I have really enjoyed working with this team and have loved the wide variety of products available in the store.

This was the very first project I created for eP and I had so much fun creating it - the stencils, the stamps and assorted Art Anthology paints were so much fun to work with.

This canvas uses a large Prima stencil, some molding paste and Art Anthology paints.

And a fun use of the same stamp to create tags for all seasons with Gelatos.

I loved creating these cards with Art Anthology paints, a Gelli Plate and The Crafter's Workshop stencils.

And I just wanted to shout out a big thank you to Kim for giving me the opportunity to work with her and this amazing design team.

Thanks For The Memories

Hi everybody it's Toni here ready to share some of the projects I've enjoyed making during my time with the eclectic Paperie. As you may be aware, the eclectic Paperie blog will be closing at the end of the month. Kim has done a fantastic job of developing the eclectic Paperie and I shall be forever grateful to her for asking me to be a part  of this fantastic group of talented, funny and hugely creative women. I originally came here for six months and now, nearly two years later, you could say that I may have overstayed a little ! So without further ado here are some of my favourites.....
I loved altering this clock, it now hangs in my craft room and keeps perfect time.
One of the great things about the eclectic Paperie has been the drive to encourage us to step outside of our comfort zone. So over time, I did several things I'd never done before for example, my first ever layout....
A crazy altered paintbrush....
an altered spoon featuring my dear late mum...... bless her........
A sardine tin.....uh ?
A chunk of wood.......
Of course there have been more conventional projects like this stencilled journal....
and this tag......
and this one featuring my dad....
and I loved my altered bag....
I could go on but think it's time I stopped ! This is just a sample of the projects which I hope reflect the fun I've had being a member of the eTeam. I'd like to thank Kim for being so kind and generous in supplying lots of goodies that I probably would never had an opportunity to use, and for being such a super-cool lovely lady ! Thanks also to Bonnie for just getting on with it and never being phased by changing the calender and stepping in when needed, and of course thanks and big love to all of the eTeam which should have been renamed the 'A Team' ! you are all a great bunch of gals ! I shall miss the eP .....
Now, what would Michelangelo say.......

Thanks for the memories, Sue C

Hi everyone, it's Sue C here and it's my turn to share some of my projects that I've made for eP during my time with the team.

It's definitely been a journey for me, stepping out of my comfort zone on more than one occasion but learning from the experience too ! There's a couple of 'firsts' among my collection too !

This was my first Art Doll, caused me a slight headache at the time but loved making it !

This was another first, ATB's are very addictive !

I think this canvas is my favourite project, the Donna Downey stamp is gorgeous and I can so relate to having my eyes shut while chaos goes on all around !

It just leaves me to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on the eP team. A huge thank you to Kim for seeking me out and to my team mates who have been a pleasure to 'work' alongside. I've loved seeing all the fabulous projects from everyone who has entered the eP challenges.

Thanks for the Memories ~ Sherry

Hello eP Nation!  If you’ve been following along on the blog for the last week and a half, there’s no doubt that you already know eclectic Paperie is closing.  This also means that it’s time for the Design Team to step down and the blog to go quiet; but before that happened, we all wanted a chance to share one more time with you and reflect on the amazing friendships and inspiration that we have shared over the years.
I went back through my blog looking for some of my favorite projects  . . . and wow, there’s a lot of years there devoted to eclectic Paperie.  I’ll never forget the day when I got a phone call from Daisy Sparks asking me to help assemble her very first eP Blog Team (The e-Team).  That was back in March of 2010 and here we are in 2014 with Kim Schofield at the reins.  I’ve been very blessed to be included on this marvelous ride and have watched Kim grow eP into the mixed media home that’s it become today.  To everyone here at eP, I hope you all know how much I admire you and cherish our friendship!  Thank you for one heck of a ride!!

This is probably the most current favorite of mine.  A tag done just this year for the eP Blog . . .  Imagination

The rest of my favorites are actually from a couple of years ago and maybe even earlier.  To me, they represent some of my best work and still hold prominent places in my home and studio.
