Hello Everyone! It's Sue Lelli here to show you a layout I made using products from the eclectic Paperie Shop. This is a wonderful memory of my son being photographed while he was skim boarding at the beach in Destin, FL, when he was 15 years old:
I just LOVE the expressions on his face! He was laughing and truly enjoying life!
The "LAUGH" was applied with embossing paste I colored blue by mixing it with paint. I then painted with an even darker blue paint over the letters through my Fancy Pants Stencils. (I will show you my process in more detail at the end of this post).
I used a stencil in the lower right corner
I applied many colors using Golden Paints and used the same stencil and a stamp in this upper left hand corner of this layout.
This photo shows the dots I added through a stencil with Golden Titanium White paint plus you can see how I rubbed a blue gelato around each photo to give it some dimension. I also stamped my FAV Dina Wakley grungy circles stamp randomly in the Background in white just to add another layer.
Following are some photos of my process:
I started with a white 12 x 12 paper covered with gesso. (I worked on a non stick craft sheet because mixed media is messy!) Next I randomly put drops of different colored Golden paints on the paper.
I used half a credit card to swipe the paints across the page until I got the look I wanted.
These are the shades of Golden paint I used. (If the eP store doesn't have exactly what you want, email the owner and she will be happy to get it for you!)
Then I took this TCW confetti stencil and dabbed paint in the upper left and lower right corners of my page.
I mixed some Wendy Vecchi white embossing paste with some blue paint.
I applied the embossing paste through this Fancy Pants Life stencil set to add words to my page.
I went back after the words dried and painted them a darker blue so they would stand out.
I wanted to add some detail around my photos so first I painted white dots through this TCW halftone border stencil. I LOVE that I didn't have to move it to be able to stencil dots around every photo. (The eP store carries this stencil in 6 x 6 or Kim will be happy to order the 12 x 12 for you. It all depends on how large the project is that you are working on as to which size stencil you would want to use).
And in case you forgot the finished layout, here it is:
Now check out these FAB items you can purchase in the eclectic Paperie Shop and make a scrapbook page of one of YOUR favorite memories!
