Product Spotlight - Gelli Plates

We're pleased to announce that we've added a new product line to the store...Gelli Plates! Gelli Plates are a product that is produced by Gelli Arts. Gelli Arts was founded by Joan Bess and Lou Ann Gleason, two ladies with extensive backgrounds in the craft and marketing industries. When these two women created their partnership they developed an amazing printing plate product that is the perfect addition to your craft studio!

Gelli Printing Plates look and feel like gelatin, but they are produced out of a durable and reusable material that stores at room temperature. Gelli Plates are easy to clean and always ready for printing. Monoprinting on a Gelli plate is simple and fun. The gratification is immediate, and the prints are too cool! You can use Gelli Plates with acrylic paints, stencils, and even household items, such as plastic wrap or hand cut shapes. A rubber brayer is the perfect tool for spreading the paint and the designs and patterns you can create endless!

Check out this short video about the product...

We currently have the 6x6 Gelli Plate in stock; this is the perfect beginner's size, which retails for $19.99. I've already been using my Gelli Plate to create extra pages for my journal, see below, this is one seriously fun product!!
Enjoy!

Today we're celebrating the Wplus9 Design Studio release day!  This month Wplus9 has release five new stamp sets and four new dies and each is more wonderful than the last!  This month's release features lacey and foral designs and patterns.

Each new set is featured on the blog today, all of today's samples were created by Wplus9's illustrator and owner, Dawn Woleslagle.

First up, highlighted above, is the Chantilly Trim stamp set that coordinates with the scalloped border die.  (You can use this die with or without the set!)
The next beautiful set is called Very Vintage Florals and it reminds me of vintage linens...so pretty!  The design possibilities are endless with this set, especially when you combine the set with the matching dies!
More darling florals with the Embroidered Bouquet stamp set, featuring sweet stitched patterns.
The Written on Ribbon set such a unique set and a perfect addition to all the other newly released sets (or even those that are already in your stash!)  This stamp set also has a matching die that pefectly cuts out the sweet ribbon image!
This might be my favorite set of this release, Lacey Layers features 12 lacey stamps of differing sizes, and combining the stamps with the coordinating die set....just perfect!  You can use this set for all season or occasion!

Product Spotlight - Dylusions Journal

Morning everyone!  I'm knee deep in new product orders from CHA...seriously, could anything be more exciting...so today I'm highlighting one of my favorite products; the Dylusions Journal.  (Of course my journal and I are daydreaming about the new Dylusions Ink Sprays, stencils, and stamp sets that are on the way!)

I was having an email discussion with a customer about the journal last week; sharing the features that I love about the journal so instead of providing you all the technical details about the journal, I thought I'd share the things that I love about this great tool!

1) The size -  One of the things that is a constant surprise is how different many products look when they arrive in person vs. looking at them from a computer screen.  We tend to quickly glance over the specifics of a product and focus on the photo.  I knew that this was a 9x12 journal but the size didn't really sink in until I was holding one in my hands.  This baby is substantial!  Which means you have a lot of space for creating!  And there are so many pages to fill...Love it!

2) The paper weight - I adore the weight of the paper/cardstock in the journal.  It's think enough that even when you saturate a page, nothing blends through.  And Dyan alternated white and cream colored pages...fun!  I would compare the pages to a manila file folder.  Seriously sturdy!  Perfect for those brand new ink sprays!

3) The pocket - At first I didn't do much with the pocket and kept my stencils in the packaging.  And then...I just became sloppy and kept my stencils in a heap on my desk.  (Oh darn, now you have a view into what my craft room looks like!)  Then I finally utilitzed the pocket!  Love that I can gather up all of my stencils and just toss them in the pocket...quick and easy clean up!

4) The cover - Made of a very heavy cardboard type material, the cover is sturdy enough for anything...paint, sprays, pastels, markers, or stamps.  I started some Zentangles on my cover and the black and white is a fun contrast to all of the vivid colors on the inside.

5) The band - I love that the journal comes with an elastic band for around the middle...because after all those pages get filled with crafty goodness, your journal might need a little help staying closed!  Kind of like eating a bit too much at the holidays... :-)

These are some of my favorite features on the Dylusions journal and here's Dyan to talk a little bit about her journal and to show off some of her artwork.  Enjoy!

CHA Product Preview

Oh my...there's almost nothing I can actually focus on today because there has been so many amazing products peeked throughout last week...and the joy just continues this week!  So I thought that I'd highlight some of my favorites that I've seen...so far...and maybe peek a few new goodies that are headed our way!

First up...the Claudine Hellmuth stencils!  They. Are. Darling.  I adore them, perfect for making scenes in your journals...seriously fun stuff!  And the introduction of the stencils makes me think that I need more coordinating stamps, am I right?
I'm really in love with all of Tim's new releases this year but the new alterable clock really stuck out for me as a great product.  It's a great size, so perfect for adding little trinkets, and customizing this would be perfect for gifts, memory pieces, or for favors.  Can't wait to get one of these!
Another great, and long list, of fabulously  new products are those from Wendy and it's nearly impossible to pick just a few from her list as I want them all!  But I really fell in love with this page and the frame that goes around it.  Art Parts is a fantastic product and I love seeing pieces that can be so easily translated into gifts or works of art.  (And new metallic embossing pastes!! AAHHH!!)
I have a thing for stamps...love 'em and I love a die that can give me not one but two stamps as quickly as it takes for me to push the button on my Vagabond.  Yup, this is going onto the wish list...
Today's announcement about the Distress Paint made me holler out loud!  Seriously...paints to match my markers, inks, and stains...why, Tim, you sure know how to work your way into a girl's heart.  Every single one of the new colors is going into my stash as soon as they arrive!
More Art Parts!  Why?  Because they're words!  Words that you don't have to cut out or die cut...and words made out of a seriously sturdy substance so you can paint them, sand them, distress them...whatever makes you happy...and these words make me happy!
Of course it's a crown and of course I need it!  Oh, I mean for my projects, not as part of my every day wardrobe...
Little sneaky peek...this is little because I'm having a hard time finding a good picture...but we'll be adding some Jillibean Soup papers to the mix!  I love Jillibean...full of so much soupy fun!
Never one to disappoint, Graphic 45 has released two stunning paper lines...one more beautiful than the next.  I'm also loving their new tag staples...I see fun projects in my future...
Another sneaky peek...Fancy Pants Design!  I am giddy over the new Fancy Pants release and we have grand 'ol plans for some of the new paper lines...including playing with some of the fabulous new embellishements, which are perfect for mixed media projects!

There is seriously so much more on the horizon...I'm so excited for the new few months as our DT gets busy creating with these new projects, we add new classes to the eClassroom, and we go on new and exciting crafting adventures!  Be sure to join us...the eP Nation is waiting!

Happy New Year eP Nation!  We have a lot of exciting news plans for 2013 and are so excited to get crafting!

Our first big news of the year is the introduction of two monthly challenges! Our first Get Altered Challenge will be held this January 3, 2013 and I'll be your hostess! I've created a great project, along with a video, for this week's challenge so be sure to visit the blog on the morning of January 3rd.
eTeam Picks ChallengeThe eTeam Picks Challenge is all about inspiration and having fun! During each challenge one of the eTeam members will share a topic, word, technique, sketch, or product that will become the foundation for your creation. This challenge is all about mixing it up and just enjoying the creative process so feel free to share a journal page, card, scrapbook project, mini album….Anything goes! Donna-Marie's new class demonstrates how to craft a one-of-a-kind boxed calendar set using the Graphic 45 Place in Time paper collection.  This calendar utilizes the 8x8 paper pad and is the perfect size for displaying on one's desk.  A great project for yourself or to give as a gift!

Product Spotlight - Unity Stamp Company

First things first...I forgot about picking our blog hop winner!  Sorry about that!!  The winner of the 25% shopping discount is BEE!  Bee, please send an email to me at kim@eclecticpaperie.com to receive you special shopping code!

Have you heard the news?  Unity Stamp Company is in the house!  WooHoo and Yippee!  I love the folks over at Unity and I love their products!

I met that fabulous Unity group a few years ago at CHA (love them!) and they have been a long time supporter of the Stamping Around events I've managed, so I've been a Unity fan and customer for many years. Unity has a unique style and design that works with many different mediums, and their stamps are of the highest unmounted red rubber.

I've had my eye on Unity for months but it wasn't until I took an online Donna Downey class that I saw her stamps, produced by Unity, in action. Right then and there I hopped over to the Unity site and placed my order for all of the new Donna Downey inspired stamp sets! And they are stunning! The stamps arrived yesterday and they are amazing! The stamp sizes are large and the sentiments and images are just perfect for journaling, stamping on canvas, and a host of other mixed media projects.

Going forward my focus with Unity is going to be on bringing in images that are a good fit for mixed media projects. The stamps we'll have in stock may also work on cards and/or scrapbook pages but the primary focus will be on supporting those artists who are creating for altered art. I can't wait to see what's next...

Click here to see all of the beautiful Donna Downey stamp sets, manufactured and sold by Unity Stamp Company and check out this amazing video, which showcases a number of the stamp sets eP is selling.  This video makes me want to get crafty!

Product Spotlight - Inkssentials

Today I'm all about celebrating the wonderful products offered by Inkssentials!  I am a huge fan of Inkssentials products and use them regularly in all of my craft projects.  (I'm sharing two older projects with you today to showcase some of the great products offered by Inkssentials!)

Here are some of my favorite products (must I only pick a few?)

Metal Foil Sheets - I love the foil sheets...they are seriously so much fun!  My card above is showing off one of my favorite things to do with foil sheets...emboss!  Slide a piece of metal foil sheet into an embossing folder and you've got a masterpiece on your hands!  Add acrylic ink and things get even better!

White Gel Pen - I love my white gel pens so much I have about four of them sitting on my desk (just in case one gets lost, which always seems to happen when one lives with two little boys).  I use my gel pen for faux stitching, in my art journal, for adding highlights, for creating doodle accents, and for every other thing in between!

Tags - I'm a huge fan of tags and love that Inkssentials now offers every size and color of tag you can imagine.  Manila, kraft, black, small, large, and even extra large!  Tim has made tags fashionable for every ocassion; use them on gifts, cards, scrapbook pages, art journals, or heck...frame them and put them on your wall!  The possibilities are endless!  You can even purchase packages of ATCs in the same three great surfaces!

Glossy Accents - It used to be that I only used Glossy Accents for areas that I wanted..well..glossy.  Now I use Glossy Accents primarily as a glue!  Did you know it's an amazing glue!  It works perfectly with metal objects, fabric, paper flowers, and more!  And, oh yeah, it makes things shiney too.

Sticky Back Canvas - Another all time favorite product and one that I use frequently.  (I especially like the ATC size, shown above, as it's perfect for cards!)  You can use canvas with stamps, paints, stains, and inks.  You can emboss it, color on it, distress ink, and stamp on it.  I love the texture and look of canvas...so pretty!

That's just a few of my favs...but there is so much more to choose from!  Check out our entire Inkssentials line and this week receive 10% off of your Inkssentials order!  Use code INK10 when checking out and enjoy!

Product Spotlight - eClasses

Are you ready for this week's big announcement? We're now offering online video classes! WooHoo! Call me over the moon excited! This is a project that we've been working on for weeks and are so glad to finally announce our first class, the Peaceful Handmade Book class, which was created and produced by Donna-Marie Wheaton.

Donna-Marie is the newest member of our design team and she will be focused on producing our online classes. I've known Donna-Marie for a number of years, working with her at my local scrapbook store and having her teach at the Stamping Around events, and I am continually blown away by her creativity and attention to detail. I think of her as the MacGyver of crafting...Give her some ribbon, rhinestones, and a stack of paper and she'll produce a completely custom book with hidden pockets, tags, tabs, and more! I'm constantly amazed at what she produces and I know you're going to be thrilled with her classes!

For our online classes we will be offering the option to also purchase a class kit so that you can make exactly what is shown on the video. It is not necessary to purchase the kits, and the kits will be limited in supply, but having the kit will enable you to create the same project. If you do not purchase the kit, the materials needed will be explained during the video. You can then select your own paper and embellishments to make the album that works best for your style or occasion.

Our online classes are available for $9.99 and once purchased, are accessible for life. After purchasing, you will receive a welcome letter, which will contain instructions for logging on to our virtual classroom. Once you set up your account you will have access to this class and all future purchased classes. The Peaceful class kits are available for $14.99 and include all the supplies needed to create the project shown in the class. You can even watch a short commercial on the eClassroom page that shows the project in its entirety!

All online class offerings and kits can be found on our eClassroom page. Enjoy!!

Product Spotlight - Wplus9 Design Studio

Welcome eP friends!  Today I'm excited to chat about a company that has quickly become one of my favs that are providing the stamps and dies that I turn to again and again...Wplus9 Design Studio

Wplus 9 was founded by Dawn Woleslagle in February 2010.  One of Dawn's commitments was to bring customers the highest quality in paper crafting supplies, which include cling stamps and metal dies (made in the USA).
I love that Wplus9's designs are truly varied...there is something for everyone's design tastes and I adore the coordinating dies.  I love that Dawn is offering not only dies that work with certain stamp sets but also stand alone dies, such as their popular Quilt Cuts dies or the Pinking Squares set.  And the stamp quality...exceptional!  A clean stamped image each and every time.

You'll find that Wplus9 images are bold and attention grabbing. They have no problem taking center stage, making completing that project a snap. Whether you're just starting out in card making or a "seasoned scrapper", you'll find that their stamps and products are a great addition to your collection.

And I'm so excited about Wplus9's products that this week I'm offering 25% off of their dies and stamps!  Just use code W925 when checking out!!

  • Kraft paper banners (aren't they cute?) from Maya Road
  • Various other supplies, such as twill and twine, needed to finish album
  • Full set of photos and instructions
This fun album from Maya Road features four plain-edged papers and four scalloped.  The pain is used to cover the edges of all of the pages.  This color is a perfect match with the paper!  Fun right?
I love the postage stamp designed stickers in the Curiousity Collection Kit.  No need to create these yourself, just peel and stick!  Also great school-themed papers in the kit.
Part of the paper also includes these sweet cards, such as the "M is for Monkey."  You'll have a bunch left over...humm...what project could you create with those cards?  Flash cards for pre-schoolers, a great addition to mini albums?  The possibilities are endless!

Overall, this is a great album that can feature your child's accomplishments, yearly school photos, or even serve as a unique teacher's gift.

Product Spotlight - Graphic 45

Graphic 45 combines the vintage style of the 1920's and 30's with vibrant color, irresistible texture and imaginative design to create paper collections with a decades-old appeal that's both fresh and familiar.  There's so much to love about Graphic 45...the vintage style, the wonderful combination of patterns, and the unique style of their papers, embellishments, and stamps

In today's newsletter, we announced that our order of new Graphic 45 paper pads, Bird Song and Nutcracker Sweet, are now in stock and shipping!  We also have a selection of coordinating stamps and those stamps are what I was excited to tear in to and share with you today!

Since I am a fan of Asian inspired stamps and patterns, I opted to use the Bird Song I stamp set combined with some Ladies Diary paper that I had in my stash.  To create the background for my image I first spritzed my cardstock with some Perfect Pearls.  I then used Distress Markers to color directly on to the stamp.  Before I stamped the image, I used a Mini Mister to spritz the stamp with water before stamping.  Because the Distress Markers react with water, my stamped image has a nice watercolor effect.  Then I added the sentiment in Tuxedo Black on top of the cherry blossom image.  The I assembled my card, adding Graphic 45 metal brads and a button from the Fanciful collection.

Thanks so much for visiting today and be sure to check out our entire Graphic 45 collection!  (And give the stamps a try...you'll love them!)

Product Spotlight - Market Street Stamps

I love all kinds of crafting and especially like to try new techniques, but in my heart of hearts I'm a stamper.  I adore the art of card making and am always excited to try out new stamps so I was pleased to recently be introduced to Market Street Stamps and their eclectic (I think you know how I feel about anything eclectic) design offering.

Market Street Stamps are focused are delivering great design, high quality crafting products to their customers and having used their products I can testify that they do deliver upon their commitment.

The one small difference about Market Street Stamps?  Their peach tint! Why are they peach-tinted? Market Street uses trade-quality photopolymer, which means they only use substrate that professional printers use. And the peach? Well, that’s added by our manufacturer so you’ll always know when you have the best clear stamps on the market today.  And it's a fun color, isn't it?

The second thing people remark is how well Market Street Stamps stamp! The softer polymer allows the impression a bit of cushion, just like a wood-mounted red rubber stamp, which provides you with a cleaner stamped image….every time. All of the stamps are self-cling and if they attract any lint or dust, simply rinsing them through lukewarm water will allow them to regain their cling – just like new!

Today we released four new sets along with a sale!  Purchase any regularly priced set and take 25% off of one of the Market Street Stamps background sets, regularly priced at $12.50.  What a great way to grab a combo set for less!  When checking out be sure to enter code MSS0812 to receive your discount.  This sale will run from 8/21/12 through 8/25/12.

On today's card I used the new Growth set (I'm a sucka for nature inspired images) and paired the set with paper from Authentique (yes, that's from their Enchanted paper line but hey, it can work for fall cards too!), and Kiwi Fruit buttons from Buttons Galore.  My image was colored with Copics and I added a tiny bit of highlight with a white gel pen.

Enjoy today's card and go get shopping and take advantage of that sale!! :-)
