12x12 Life

What can I say...I'm a 12x12 kinda gal.

When things are not going right or I'm feeling like I need some crafty time...I reach for 12x12.

I think we all have our own comfort zones and that is mine.

So imagine how ecstatic I was when Kim started carrying different 12x12 papers in the store! We have Authentique and Fancypants and 7Dots and Tim Hotlz...

and I really could go on but you want to see some GORGEOUS crafty goodies don't you;)

If you have seen my work you know that I am over the top...lots of mixed media...more flowers than a gal can handle. But when I saw the Fancypants Nautical line, I was so inspired to do something clean and simple. I purchased some 12x12 in a couple of the patterns and went to town!! They were so much fun to create with!

I also used my new Tim Holtz Honeycomb die to create some layers behind the photo grouping. The tag is from the clearance section and is Fancypants as well but from a different line. I just adore the Junkyard Findings Street Signs and this one was perfect...because he is my 1st born!! Get it?
*slaps her knee*
I liked the orange with the navy blue and teal (yes that is blue not black) so I grabbed a piece of orange paper from my stash to make my accents.

I decided to stamp a tiny date stamp to document the time that this photo was taken. We don't have many every day type photos and this was just a spur of the moment "kids...get in the car...mamma wants pics" kinda deal.

So needless to say my teenager was glad I was inspired to NOT use flowers this time.

This LO was the inspiration for the one above:

Hard to believe this is the same child isn't it? Thus the title for the previous LO of "All Growed Up"

This was using the Authentique elegant line. Little bit of chip board photo frames
and some Prima masking...a little bling...some stamping...this was seriously a fun layout to create.

Here is a close up of the tissue tape and stamping.

And of course the BLING!!!! Oh so yummy!! And just adorable with the Prima Metal Door Sign

Don't forget our ePlay challenge is still going on this month with STENCILS!!!

You can check out all the details for these tags on my blog at www.scrappygoddess.blogspot.com.

Prima in the store!

I'm so excited I could almost pee!!!!

But I won't.

We have Prima in the store!!!!

Prima!!!

So what have I created with all these shabby goodies?! Why a scrapbook page of course silly.

But wait...there's more!
(sounds like an infomercial right?)

I used Petaloo

I started with the 7Dots Dreamer paper-Sweet Dreams. I loved the new Prima Maps mask and used the Art Anthology red velvet dimensional paint in the mask. I used lots of my old stamps over the entire background with Distress ink in Walnut Stain and Gathered Twigs. Of course my Silks glaze in Guatemalan Green and Dylusions sprays in Lemon Zest and Black Marble. My title was done with the Idea-ology label letters. Honestly I used to be such a sticker snob but now....I love letter stickers!

Here's some closeups of my lower cluster.

Jump in the store and grab some Prima. Give it a try! They are some of my mostest favoritest products ever.

Til next time...

Luckily Ever After!

Good Morning EPeeps!!  St. Patrick's Day is coming up and I wanted to share with you a little canvas I made of a lucky four leaf clover!!  This is a super fun little project - you could make one for a friend or just for yourself!!  You just need a small canvas, blue paint, white spray and some fun paper!!

I started off with another background idea in mind.  I just couldn't get it to look right ... but we know that even when we are stuck to just keep going.  You never know what the end will turn out to be!!
So, I re-started with the background of blue and white paint. ( If you want to recreate this canvas, I would start here!!)

To lighten up the blue, I used Dylusions White Linen spray.  I used one of my favorite stencils, The Crafter's Warehouse Peacock Doily, to create the shapes in the background.

Then I took out my fun washi tape collection and created a border around the edge!

Using an old heart shaped paper punch and some scrap paper, I punched out 4 hearts for the leaves.  Then I grabbed my new favorite Authentique Aboard paper to make the planter!  I used gel medium to glue them down. I was careful not to smear it around because the Dylustions spray will reactivate and move around with the gel medium!

Doodles, rub-ons, and highlights finish off the canvas!

I hope you enjoyed my project and have a wonderfully lucky day today!! Be sure to stop by the ePaperie to see all the new fun products that are coming in - I can't wait to get my hands on a few new items ...
-Karen

PS - I also can't wait to see what you all create for this month's ePlay Challenge . . . did you find a book to alter yet???? Have any questions?  Feel free to ask me!!

Wish Big

wishbig_2012sep13

Hi, all, Barbara  here and I have a sorta CAS card for you today. It was super easy to make—always a plus when you’re rushed for time. I’m using some awesome neutral patterned paper from Echo Park’s So Happy Together—this wood grain pattern is a great backdrop for lots of things. Then I adhered some strips of THIS Washi tape from My Mind’s eye. It looks kinda purplish on my monitor but it’s very pink IRL :) Then I stamped the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added a strip of Graphic 45 Trim Staples crocheted lace with some sweet ribbon woven through and tied in a bow, adhered with my awesome Dot N’ Go – Mini Glue Dots.

And that is pretty much it! As I said, simple and easy :) Thank so much for stopping by!

Big Greetings (MFT)
Paper:
Sweet Tooth card stock, Black Licorice card stock; So Happy Together (Echo Park)

To a Tea!

Good Morning eP fans!!  It's my turn (Julie) to post a little crafty inspiration for you today. I had a bit of fun with some stamps from Sweet Stamp Shop.  This sweet set is called Afternoon Delight.

Now that the weather is getting chillier I've been enjoying my favorite Earl Grey tea several times a day, yum! This teapot just screamed at me to be paper pieced. I used some beautiful My Mind's Eye paper from the Blue Bell 6x6 pad.

What was also fun is the fact that MME's had coordinating washi tape for this paper called Smile. See the top and bottom scalloped accents? Washi tape!! So fun and easy to use, have you tried it yet?

The finishing touch on my card today was adding the pretty Black Rhinestone Swirls from Prima - so delicate and just what my card needed!

I hope you've enjoyed today's card!  Check back tomorrow for this week's Product Focus.  Have a great day!

Feel Better Soon

Hi everyone, it’s me Tammy and I’ve got a card full of detail to share with you today, using lots of products from the eclectic Paperie store.  I used a new Studio 490 Wendy Vecchi stamp set from Stampers’ Anonymous on this card called “Art is Therapeutic”… it’s a really fun stamp set!  I stamped the flower with Ranger Distress inks in Picked Raspberry and Peeled Paint, then masked it and stamped the medicine label using Brilliance Graphite Black archival ink.  This was all stamped on an Inkssentials #5 Manila Tag, then I distressed the edges and sponged on some Pumice Stone Distress ink.  The papers I used here are from My Mind’s Eye “Honey” 6x6 pad, and I embellished with some Prima Pink Mini Rhinestone Swirls, some Scattered Straw dyed seam binding, a Berrylicious Buttons Galore button, and a lacey die-cut border.  I also added…..

…some Washi tape from the MME “Honey” line across the bottom of the tag.  I thought it was a fun touch, and since this tape has space for dating, I pulled out my trusty old date stamp and added the date that I made the card.  (My stamper is so old though… it only goes to 2007!)

And here’s the inside!  Since the big stamp in the set is like a label from an old medicine bottle, I decided to make this a get well card!

You’ll find links to everything I used on this card by clicking on the bold-face words in the text, so you can just head over to the eP store and pick up your own stamping goodies!

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!
