Sorry it's been way too long since my last post. So, here I am trying to make up with a fun entry that really "Feeds Your Creativity".
My friend, Flo, owns and operates an online store(
myediblecreations.com) that sells handmade jams and jellies. They are oh-so-yummy. Flo and I were talking about how her jams and jellies would make great gifts this time of year for dads, teachers and hostess gifts for those summer picnics and parties. We talked about how to package the cute jelly jars for these different occasions so here is what we came up with.
This first set of photos is the small jelly jar that fit perfectly into the
Acrylic Paint Cans. How cute is this to give as a hoste

ss gift or a thank you gift for a teacher or special
friend.

I used the
Doodlebug Paper frills to wrap around the paint can. I also reached for the new
KaiserCraft embellisments. These flowers have no middle piece so you get to choose how to fill the empty flower center...do you want pearl or rhinestones. Love that option!

Next came another idea that we thought would be fun to take as a hostess gift for those Memorial Day invites you receive or any other picnic and/or party this summer. Jams and jellies won't melt in the heat. They are yummy poured over a brick of cream cheese and then spread onto your favorite crackers. The jams and jellies could also serve as a fun Father's Day gift. I used the
round coasters to create a secure bottom for the cello wrap. I painted the coaster withe
Ranger Crackle Paint and ran some Distress Ink over the paint for a little masculine feel. I also choose the
Changito BBQ stamp and used the Copic Markers to color in the image.

Finally, we talked about how these jelly jars could be a very unique and fun alternative to those traditional wedding favors. Flo wrapped it up in tulle and I reached for the CuttleBug
Textile Hearts to create a simple and elegant tag for the jelly wrapped creation.

I love the Cuttlebug Combo. Think of it as a 2-step process. You have the die to cut the shape; then you have the coordinating embossing folder to add texture to the shape. I started with the
Cryogen Poison Ivory cardstock. The shimmer and color of this cardstock is appropriate for any wedding project. After cutting and embossing , I used some
VersaMagic Dew Drop ino to rub on top of the scroll design for even more dimension.

Check out Flo's jams and jellies at
myediblecreations.com There are lots of flavors to choose from. eclectic Paperie has a variety of
Cuttlebug Combo designs so come visit and look around.
Have a great weekend!
