"BRITNI"
My little girl...
This is my first attempt at a Finnabair style on canvas, a few weeks prior to taking one of her classes when she came to NYC this year. The way I did it was not the way Finn taught us. What fun we had with her.
I began by using the hot glue gun to hold my embellies in place. I used some burlap, tissue paper, ribbon, TH idea-ology, etc. I then covered the entire canvas with fiber gesso.
I positioned a photo of my little girl which I protected using a piece of paper cut out the same size as the photo prior to misting.
I sprayed the canvas with Glimmer Mist. Used a large piece of cardboard and began misting the canvas from right to left, spraying heavier to make it darker.
Burgundy wire was added prior misting.
I coiled some red wire throughout the bottom area.
This metallic butterfly was pretty and when I added the Pen Nib and colored it with my burgundy Copic Pen it looked much prettier than in this photo. I used a white marker to highlight the letters.
Alot of texture. I was very pleased at how it came out.
Hoping you all had a filling...
It was a project I had to do and complete... so I did.
It's great being here with all the talented artists. See you next Wednesday.
