Good morning, Sherry here! Today it’s my turn to post another project on the eP Blog.
I have a different card for you today. Well different from me anyway! First, it’s an A2 size card which is not one I normally make and secondly, it’s another quick to put together card.
The center panels (My Mind’s Eye Lavender paper and blue cardstock) on the front of the card were die cut/embossed with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A and B. They were then glued down to the gray panel with Glossy Accents and trimmed just around the edges. That panel is raised on the front of the card with foam mounting tape.
The sentiment, Hooray, from Market Street Stamps – Simple Joys, was stamped in black on a scrap of the Simple Joys paper, then die cut/embossed with Spellbinders Ovals.
The flower is made from another piece of the My Mind’s Eye Lavender paper, die cut/embossed with Spellbinders Spiral Blossom Four. A glue dot was used to hold the flower together at the base and to attach the leaves, which were die cut/embossed with Bitty Blossoms from a manila tag and inked with Peeled Paint Distress Ink. All the edges of the paper were sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink.
The seam binding was dyed with Wild Honey Distress Ink. I have an old video tutorial that I did for eclectic Paperie some time ago on how I dye my seam binding. You can find the video here.
That’s all for me today except to say thanks for stopping by!
Project Supplies:
Love the colors Sherry and the flower is just lovely. I'm always amazed when I see these flowers. I'd love to learn to make them sometime!
ReplyDeleteLove the card, Sherry. I like the way the ribbon picks up the small amount of color in the paper. Of course, the flower is beautiful, too!
