The E-Team is revisiting the very popular Distress Stain in Part 5 of "It's Better with Color" series. With the introduction of 25 new Distress Stain colors, we figured it was a good medium to color with. That is a lot of new colors to play with. The new Distress Stain colors all coordinate with the Distress Ink color palette.

eclectic Paperie has all the new colors available and are offering them at 10% off. You may want to try some or get a couple new colors into your collection after you get some ideas and inspiration from this E-Team blog hop.

Distress Stains are the perfect medium if you need to cover a large surface quickly. You can apply as little or as much as you need to build the intensity of the color. It has all the properties of Distress Inks in terms of being able to wick but not breaking down in color. If you really want to learn all there is to know about Distress Stains, take 10 minutes to view this Tim Holtz video. He quickly goes through its properties, uses, and some applications as well.

See what The E-Team has used their Distress Stain to create some awesome projects. You'll pick up some tips and tricks. You'll also see different color combinations that may inspire you to try them out.

It's Better with Color Part 4: Tattered Angels

We are so excited to bring you Part 4 of "It's Better with Color" series. It's all about Tattered Angels and their new Glimmer Products that are debuting at the annual Craft & Hobby Association(CHA) Trade Show next week.

Tattered Angels Glimmer products come in a variety of mediums and sizes. There are also some 1 oz kits available as a great sampler of colors and collections. Here is a very brief overview of the 4 types of Glimmer mediums from Tattered Angels:

Glimmer Mist is the one that started it all. New and improved mix and bottle plus all the new colors make Glimmer Mist the classic spray that provides color and shimmer to your projects. Glimmer Glam is a water-soluble paint with chunks of glitter that you can paint onto your surface. Glimmer Glaze can be painted on all sorts of surfaces just for a subtle sheen. The Glaze can be an additional layer on top of another medium, too. Glimmer Mist Chalkboard leaves an opaque finish to your projects.

They all work together or alone. You can use them with your inks or other paint mediums. They can be used of lots of surfaces including wood and metals. They can be sprayed on textiles and give new life to color up something like white ribbons or flowers. It's fun to experiment.

Wait till you see what the E-Team created with the Tattered Angels products. Application to flowers and ribbons were a no-brainer but the E-Team floral creations are simply stunning.
