I always spoil my mom with flowers at work!
ReplyDeleteThe design team made some fabulous pieces. I honestly can't remember a specific gift that stands out. Mine tend to blend in with my anniversary and birthday, which are all in the same week.
ReplyDeleteWow! THe DT went all out! I am loving that film! This was a very fun hop!
ReplyDeleteThe most memorable gift to my mom? I think I was 12 or 13 and decided to make dinner for her and Dad. She-who can cook Thanksgiving dinner for 18 in 3 pots-came into a kitchen that had every pot and pan out and dirty--(yeah,I still do the same thing--) for my first lasagna---the salad was on the floor--- the garlic bread had burned- and we both started crying! LOL!
Daisy to be honest I think EP blog hops are the best & the Design Team rocks. Thanks for the fun. Favorite Mother's Day has to be handmade gifts from my children done with their handprints.
ReplyDeleteaww..well I for one just love Wendy and her stamps and art parts! Eager to see how the team did on this one...ty ty ty for highlighting her...She is currently here in MI, tho I am unable to get there due to family issues...total bummer! ty ty ty cher
ReplyDeleteI gave my Mother a small memory album several years ago. Her reaction was the best!
ReplyDeleteThis design team is awesome! Very inspiring!
I think the best gift I receive on Mother's Day is the fact that I get a chance to sit back and relax while the kids do all the work (well almost all the work). You can't put a price on that!
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by to say the DT have created such beautiful pieces, I'm so glad I found this blog hop. Don't have any memorable Mother's Day gifts to mention.
ReplyDeleteI ADORE WENDY VECCHI SO THANKS FOR THE CHANCE TO GET SOME OF HER GOODNESS! MY FAVORITE MOTHERS DAY GIFT WAS THE YEAR THAT BOTH OF MY COLLEGE KIDS CAME HOME TO SURPRISE ME......WHAT COULD BEAT THAT????
ReplyDeleteA few years ago I made my mom a mini book for Mother's Day. It had pix of her 9 children, 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. (We've added 2 more greats since then, need to do an add on.) She adored it! It was my favorite gift to her for Mother's Day ever.
ReplyDeleteBefore losing my Mom, this was the most special Day and the best gift was that we spent every minute of that Day together. I always had a gift but what we were going to do that day was the most exciting for us whether we stayed home and talked all day over the kitchen table or went to Chicago for a field trip. Now Mother's Day makes me teary and on that day I miss her more than any other day of the year. Love you Mom.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun Hop. Loved all the great creativity. Hugs
ReplyDeleteMy best Mother's Day gift was my youngest grandson, who was born 2 days before Mother's Day.
ReplyDeleteNoreen
Great blog hop and fabulous works of art. My most treasured gift is a letter from my 10 year old daughter telling me how much she loves me and a plant from my son that grows in the garden every year, an everlasting gift. Tracy x
ReplyDeleteGreat blog hop!!! My most memorable mother's day gift would have to be a book of poetry that my daughter wrote. She had it bound and decorated the cover and inside pages. It is one of my favorite gifts EVER!!!
ReplyDeleteThis hop was fantastic - wonderful art. I loved every creation. My favorite gifts were always the things my children made for me.
ReplyDeleteI love your store - and the creativity of your design team. They continually inspire me.
ReplyDeleteI took my 84 yo mom to go see a play called FIVE BLUE HAIRED LADIES SITTING ON A GREEN PARK BENCH and then we went out to lunch. It was a great play and we both enjoyed spending the day together.
ReplyDeleteWendy rocks !! My most memorable gift to mom was a trip to West Edmonton Mall in Canada .. a trip we talked about for 10 years and I finally was able to make it happen !! Awesome !
ReplyDeleteI have really enjoyed the blog ho, thank you, however I was not able to leave a comment on Micki's blog. I have tried 10 times but my comment will not show in the box. I thought I would leave it here, hope that is ok. Micki's work is gorgeous, love the layout and all the embellishments. Tracy x
ReplyDeleteOkay I lost my Mom at a very young age and really I did not give her any cool gifts but she gave me one. She saved my school work in a scrapbook and I so love the Mothers Day card that was is in there spelling all wrong and backwards but at least I knew that she knew I loved her!

ReplyDeleteI always enjoyed giving my Mom a lot of small gifts on Mother's Day - she loved to unwrap things!
I am thrilled to spend some time checking out the creations.
ReplyDeleteI have always enjoyed the inspiration of using Wendy's products.
My best gift as a mother was a Tender Moments nativity set- my children and their friends saved and bought for me...made me cry like a baby- knowing all them saved their pennies and dimes to make me happy..it has been 20 years but I still put it out each year.
blessings to you, Dawn ll
Oh Daisy each hop just gets better. Wonderful art and inspiration here today. Some really great ways to use the products.
ReplyDeleteMy sons 1st year of college he sent me flowers at work. So surprised and on Sunday he hitched a ride home for another surprise and to have lunch with me.

ReplyDeletethe fav mother's day gift i ever got was my first one, my one yr old daughter (and the day care team) make a 'beautiful' fruit loop necklace .... i kept it until i was scared ants were going to start knocking on the door to come in lol.
ReplyDeleteI remember serving her a meal as a very small child. I put on my fairy outfit and brought it to her on a tray. I felt so grownup. She loved every homemade gift I gave her.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful blog hop. Love the EP hops. I think they are the best with such great ideas and projects to show. Last year I gave my mother a little album with pictures from my childhood through my son's birth. She was very surprised.
ReplyDeleteI think the best gift I ever gave my mom was a scrapbook I made for her of old family photos that had previously been lying in an old cigar box! I had to do a lot of research to get everyone's name right, but the finished product really is a treasure.
ReplyDeleteNo gifts really stand out but I do thank my daughter every Mother's Day for giving me two beautiful grandchildren! They really make my Mother's Day extra special! The hop was fabulous as always!
ReplyDeleteCarole Gatza
Not sure what age I was, but I gave my Mom a shoebox full of wrapped pennies!

ReplyDeleteWOW, I am in awe of all the fantastic projects and inspiration seen on this blog! Thank you for a fabulous hop.
ReplyDeleteThe best gift I have ever received as a Mom's day gift is from my husband & daughter, he made me a curio cabinet from an old 6 pain window (has little pull handles to lock it). At the same time, my daughter (2 at the time) made me a clay hand print (to put inside my cabinet).
great hop, wonderful art!!Thanks for the hop ! My best mothers day present?? Well my daughter bought me a word hanging saying PEACE.....I adore it thanks
ReplyDeletekazxx
Just loved hopping into everyones blogs and seeing the most amazing talent!! loved seeing the film really cool product! Mothers day would not be the same without a handprint card from my daughter...priceless!
ReplyDeletekazxx
Had lots of fun on the blog hop! Favorite mother's day gifts would be the canvases that I made for my mom and mother in law!
ReplyDeletenow that my mother is 88 and disabled, her wants are few. so this year i secretly drove to her old hometown and went to the drugstore there to buy her favorite caramels that she has not had for a long time. simple and inexpensive, but a new favorite gift from my standpoint, as it will be a surprise for her.
ReplyDeleteWow!!! Once again your amazing design team came up with some awe inspiring projects! I so love your hops! My favorite mothers day gift is getting together with my mom for some crafting and shopping!
ReplyDeletefavorite mother's day gift to my mom - a hand print stepping stone for her garden.
ReplyDeleteI can't think of one that stands out more.
ReplyDeleteThanks for having this blog hop. I love oohing and aahing over the design teams work.
ReplyDeleteAs for Mother's Day. Two years ago, my son, who was in college, bought me the most beautiful necklace. He actually went to a real jewelers and purchased the necklace with money he earned at college working in the dining hall. I know he sacrificed his fun money to buy me this gift. Every time I put it on, I think of how thoughtful he has become as a young adult. It makes me proud to be his mother. !!!
I think when my girls were younger and they made me a card--I have them all--I think I should put them in a book instead of a drawer. Thank you for the Blog hop today--what fun. KSH
ReplyDeleteWow, Daisy! This blog hop was inspiring!
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking about my favorite Mother's Day gift EVER...a few years back, my two daughters treated me to a spa day: manicure, pedicure, facial and massage. I was like a wet noodle by the time the day was done, and the best part was that my girls were there with me.
My favorite gift was from my daughter when she was 8 years old. She painted the words "I love you" on a sea shell she found at the beach. She's 25 now & it's still on display.
ReplyDeleteI think my most memorable Mother's Day present to my mom was a craft item from Sunday School. We made a plaster of Paris plaque of our handprints & spray painted them gold. I must have only been 5 or 6 (I'm 59 now), and I still have it. I found it in my Mom's things when she passed.
ReplyDeleteDaisy,
ReplyDeleteYou and your DT rock! I enjoyed spending time with you in SD. I'm anticipating my best Mother's Day gift, lunch at Joe's Crab Shack with "the boyz" and a little local shopping for some cute bling!
Holly
My daughter knows I love hydrangea,
ReplyDeleteshe bought me a gorgeous blue one and then planted it for me!
What a talented bunch of design team members. All great projects. Favorite Mother's Day gift I could give my mom is spending time with her.
ReplyDeleteWow, that was a great hop! I'm glad I did it! So many fabulous and inspiring creations!
ReplyDeleteThis year I altered and decorated a picture frame for my mom. The photo was of her parents on their wedding day in 1929. It's the Grungy Grandma post on my blog. She loved it (gave it to her early) and shed many tears. Always nice to see a gift so appreciated! HMD to all!
ReplyDeletewhat a nice blog hop. the best mother's day cards are from my daughter that signs them "augie doggie" to "doggie daddie".
ReplyDeleteI think the best Mother's Day gift one can give or receive is to be able to spend time with your mother even if it is only a phone call. My mother passed away this past year and I would give anything just to have her back for mother's day.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome question and Im glad to say that the best Mother's Day gift I recieved was my son who was born on this day 14 yrs ago. I was actually due 5 days before and I guess he waited to be my first gift at 5:30am in the morning. Thanks for the chance to tell this story again. I tell it every year to whomever will listen. LOL

ReplyDeleteI love every Mothers Day..but the gift I will never forget is the one from last year...Due to my Breast Cancer, I had to give birth to our son, Aiden Jon at only 5 month 1 week. He gave us 2 hours before passing away. After complications with my chemo, I was in the hospital on Mothers Day. That morning, in walked my Mom and 2 daughters with everything from a crown, an arm load of drawings for my hospital walls, a bouquet with 1 white rose for each child and a pink one for me Plus 'goodies to make me "Queen of the World" (My 5 y/o said). (When I was little we always made my Mom queen of the Day with home made crown, throne and the works so this was extra special even for that). Needless to say I have an amazing book made from that one. <3
ReplyDeleteMy favorite present has been the long handwritten cards from my teenage girls last year! Thanks for the fun hop!
ReplyDeleteTickets for one day for me and my hubby to the Rome International Tennis tournament!
ReplyDeleteOn my way to visit everyone. Today my hubby is taking me stamp shopping for Mother's Day (my local store is having a sale).
ReplyDeleteIn 1972 I lived in California and my Mother lived in Kansas. I impulsively decided to fly home for Mother's day with my 22 mo. old daughter. Mother was so surprised. She died the following February.
ReplyDeleteThis has been a great hop. The E-Team has Excellent art! I'm not a mom, but my own was thrilled one year with gifts of jewelry that I made for her. I was a beginner, but she still really liked all the pieces and wears them frequently!
ReplyDeleteMy mom loves lilacs. One year I lived where there were 8 lilac bushes. I filled her whole house with vases of lilacs and she came home from church to that surprise. It really smelled heavenly in her home. She loved it and I love her!
ReplyDeletewhat fun, a blog hop!! I love Wendy's stuff and a give away is a lways great. My favorite thing I have given to my mom, was a small card/plaque that had a photo booth picture of her and I when I was about 5 years old. She became very teary when she opened it and said she couldn't believe I still had that picture!! She still has it hanging beside her computer, where she can see it all the time
ReplyDeleteGreat project using Studio 490 stamps! My favorite Mother's Day presents were all the handmade items from my son when he was in elementary school. Nothing like handmade with a photo perhaps for mom!
ReplyDeleteAloha, Kate
My favourite mother's day gift was from my daughter. A lovely framed photo of her when she was only 3 with her brother aged 12. A simple uncomplicated time, it brought back so many happy memories. Now they're both so grown up, and branching out into the world. I love them both so much. I miss my mum, she passed 6 years ago, so mother's day holds mixed emotions for me.
ReplyDeletejust starting on this blog hop, I am sure there will be some incredible work.
ReplyDeleteLoved my blog hop! Thank you for hosting! So much inspiration and so little time...have to go...Make Art!
ReplyDeleteFavorite gift i ever gave. We lost our Mom in late 2009. That next Mom's day i sent all of my brothers and sisters and all the grandkids a CD with all the family photos of my mom. Starting with a photo of her at 2 in 1922-wearing a dress her mother made from paper. Needless to say so much to cherish on that one small disk.
ReplyDeleteTerrific blog hop. So enjoyed seeing such inspiring creativity.
ReplyDeleteMarilyn
Great hop! So many terrific ideas and lots of inspiration! Thanks ladies!
ReplyDeleteI love to bake and have made my Mom some special treats for Mother's Day. One everybody really liked was homemade cream puffs filled with custard. Not hard to make at all, and they look so elegant!
DeniseB
I'd have to say my favorite gift to my Mum was when I surprised her with a day of relaxation and luxury. She got a back massage, facial, mani/pedi and it included a beautiful lunch with champagne cocktails. That was when I was still working and could afford that type of a gift. She's absolutely the best Mom, I wish I could do something like that for her ever year.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! Thank you for highlighting Wendy's items...I'm fairly new to this and am soooo excited to get such great inspiration! Other than the super adorable gifts & notes I get from my kids each year, I have to say that my gift to my mom this year is my fave...I made her a shadow box with a handwritten letter from her dad talking about the photos I put in the box. Can't put it on my blog yet, 'cuz my mom reads it, but you can see it here, if you want: https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/WxgkwMgiKCZyeu4mC1T49UbfbU6fYoPH7CEae_aLE98?feat=directlink
ReplyDeleteThanks again for all the inspiration!!
Fabulous idea for a blog hop! Love Wendy, her style and her stamps and art parts, of course! Well, I always make a card for Mom, and usually try to make some art for her, which she always loves, (or says she does, lol).
ReplyDeletemy favorite received Mother's Day gift was the year i ran the 1/2 marathon. it was a very wet run, puddles, downpours, just yucky. as i was coming to the finish line i was giving my all and ended up having an asthma attack!! and of course no inhaler.. but my son was at the finish line, took me to his car, gave me his puffer and as soon as i settled down, gave me the sweetest Mother's Day card ever. I am a very VERY lucky mom!!
ReplyDeletePink and red roses.
ReplyDeleteAmazing Design Team
I'd love to win some Wendy goodies! Love her stuff, and I can't wait to see all the great projects!
ReplyDeleteWell I get breakfast in bed and hand picked flowers from the pasture, then I get pampered all day!! =) Extra kisses and hugs and I LOVE U's and back rubs and usually a FABULOUS meal or two!! Last year I even got dessert~~ cheesecake my FAVORITE!! It is a FANTASTIC DAY filled with SPECIAL LOVE every YEAR!! THANKS for the fun blog hop and the AWESOME chances to win!! HAVE A FABULOUS MOTHER"S DAY DAISY!! =) (and ALL MOTHER'S out there!!)
ReplyDeleteEveryone's take and use of Wendy's creation is so unique and individual. I hope she truly enjoys what she see.
ReplyDeleteThis year I was lucky enough to attend the Novi Mega meet the Friday before mother's day.I actually got to meet Wendy! I was inspired to make my mother's (I have 3!) a charm chain to attach to their purses. Each one is unique and particular to the mother they are given to. For my mother-in-law I chose to make acrylic accents with chandeliers and mental flur-de-lies charms because she has them all over her house and loves to wear images of chandeliers. For my own mother I chose mental crosses and made acrylic accents that had to do with faith because she is so solid in her faith. I have put a lot of time into these gifts today and feel that they truly represent how far my art has come in the last 6 years.
I will have to say that I took a class from Nellie wortman, made an altered family photo book which took me a few months to finish it with all my mothers old photos of her family dated in the 1800's ......... She now has dementia and still looks at the book and it helps her to remember who they are with some help,,,,,,,,but the mothers day I gave it to her, the look on her face will always be be a special memory of that moment........ Thanks for the trip to memory lane........Therese
ReplyDeleteWhat a great blog hop. The DT was creative and inspiring. I don't know if it's the best gift, but my mom wants a gift card to buy gas instead of flowers this year.
ReplyDeleteLove Wendy Vecchi and all her "stuff". Would love to win!
ReplyDeleteI once gave my mother a gift certificate for a massage.
Thanks so much for the give-away!
Barbara
Without a doubt, a great hop! My best gift to my Mother is friendship. We craft and play together all winter every year. My folks leave my home in April to cooler climate, so I try to always tuck something I made for Mom into her luggage to find near Mother's Day.
ReplyDeleteThe E-Team did a wonderful job showing the versatility of Wendy Vecchi's Studio 490 stamps and Art Parts. I have been in love with them for years for that exact reason. Thanks for all the ideas!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to tell you my fav mother's day gift! It's got to be the wonderful gifts made by my 3 children when they were in elementary school! They were so proud of them it made them special for me too. Thanks for all my wonderful memories, Kids!
ReplyDeleteA tall green vase from G.C.Murphy's Five and Dime when I was a little girl is my most memorable gift to my Mom. It was 99 cents and I had $1.00 to spend. My sister helped me with the tax.
ReplyDeleteWendy's art is at the top of my favorites! I have coffee with her every morning and stare in wonder at her most beautiful art works!
ReplyDeleteThe most memorable Mother's Day gift I received was from my 8yr. old daughter. It was a coupon book she had made with coupons for washing dishes, helping me make and change beds, folding laundry, etc. It thought it was so creative of her, and I loved it!
How great love Wendy & Studio 490...can't think of any specific thing but always loved my son's handmade things from school.
ReplyDeleteMy best Mother's Day present was of course the card that my 12 yo Daughter made for me. BUT MY NEW VAGABOND WASN'T TOO BAD EITHER!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely blog hop
Your designers all did amazing work... it's fun to see all the possibilities out there for using Wendy's art parts and of course her stamps. Great hop!
ReplyDeleteCool blog hop. Last year I made my mom and mother-in-law a mini book Wendy style with pictures in it and they both liked it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful hop, full of Wendy art goodness and inspiration. Mother's Day is about being thought of with cards, phone calls, a beautiful hanging plant, and the family cooking for me. What more could a girl want?
ReplyDeletefun hop...thanks for the inspiration and the chance to win. i like to give my mother little tag books i make throughout the year...whenever i make a mini book or bigger book i use the scraps and little photos to make her tag books she keeps in a bowl on her coffee table. she never knows when i will show up with one and that is the fun...it is not planned or tied to a birthday, christmas, etc...just random fun.
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite gift was a pot with my first grandchild's handprints on it.
ReplyDeleteMy best Mother's Day gift was my one and only granddaughter...born 7 weeks early and a blessed day for my mom, my daughter, and me. She's four now and the tallest girl in her pre-school class!
ReplyDeleteI love making my mom scrapbook pages, frames, etc for gifts. They are so meaningful and convey our love for each other.
ReplyDelete
