Got Panties?

Did you know that we have panties, bras and purses? Okay...so we do have secret and it's called "Isabelle's Secret." This is a new release by Prima Marketing, Inc.
Here's their description of the bras & panties:
Just like the woman inside us all.......pretty little flowers dressed up in inspired lace, French script, and dainty-dot petals.

We also have the matching cute purses. Look at all those details on the lovely flowers. There are polka dots; the black & white ones have script and lace on them. Wouldn't these be cute Mother's Day, teacher and great hostess swap gifts?

I actually drove to the Prima warehouse to pick up these lovely embellishments and more. Thank goodness they all fit in my new mini-van....and DD(Sarah) was in the car with me, too. She was just happy to have all the boxes to play with after I got through sorting and emptying out the cartons. So, this afternoon I got to "ooh & aah" over the delighful packaging that Prima always comes out with. We also received some more Prima Sprites, some new tins(not on the site yet), and Prima Pop-ups. With some of the new Prima packaging, the quantities are a little smaller so it's affordable, and you can also alter some of the tins after you use them . We actually have more Prima's to pick up tomorrow(Joy's turn). So, keep checking the website under "Trims & Adornments" to view the Prima collection that we have.

It's been a crazy delivery week. We now have most of the Crate Paper collections for purchase; Lil' Davis, Chatterbox & Daisy D's now reside with us; and can you say STAMPS...we have Stampendous, Paper Salon Tailored Tins; and Fancy Pants. Also check out the Acrylic Blocks and EZ Mount static cling foam that we just added to our growing inventory. Happy shopping!

Finally, just a huge THANK YOU! THANK YOU! for all your support, referrals and orders. We are overwhelmed at the response that we have received. It's so exciting to be on this wild adventure with fellow paper craft addicts. The more the merrier, right? We want to make sure that we can find all the great paper crafting products that are out there and make it available to you.

With gratitude,
Daisy & Joy

Teaching My DreamKutz New Tricks

A lot of you have been writing me telling me how much you are enjoying your Zutter Bind-it-All which is a fabulous product for making booklets, memory books and pretty much anything you can think of to bind together. Debbie Olsen really went town with one on her Bodacious Chipboard Coaster Box.

However, what you are missing out on is Zutter's companion product, DreamKutz. The DreamKutz is a cutting machine with self sharpening rotary blades that makes repetitive cuts without flaw. I simply love my DreamKutz. I use it two ways: 1) to make pages for my Bind-it-All and 2) to make repetitive cuts for card stock (Can anyone say "swap time-saver"?)

Quick and Perfect Bind-it-All Paper

This is what the DreamKutz was designed for. The DreamKutz has two slots in the back with a set of aligned wheels and self sharpening rotary blades. By putting a 12 x 12 sheet of paper in the back slot and cranking the wheel you get two perfectly alligned pieces of 6 x 12 paper. Its completely foolproof. Load the paper, crank the wheel, and out comes the paper.

The two sheets can then be run through the back cutter again to make 4 pieces of perfect 6 x 6 or the front slot which has two cutter at 4" spacing giving you 6 pieces of 4 x 6 as shown below.

The result of these two steps is perfectly cut stock for any crafting need in seconds.

The Card Maker's Secret Weapon

The "intended" use for the DreamKutz machine is all fine and dandy but I *knew* the first time I saw it at CHA that I could use it for card making. The key to this is the indexing tabs on the back slot. They are moveable and self-centering, meaning that if you move the right one, the left one moves as well. By adjusting these tabs to 5 1/2" you can cut an 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock into two perfect pieces of 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Can anyone say ... Cardstock?

But wait ... there is more! You can further adjust it to cut stock at 5 1/4" wide and then run it through the front slot to make perfect 5 1/4" x 4" blanks for card fronts. Hooray! Painless rough cuts!

The Dreamkutz will cut any size paper you choose. The back blade will always cut in the center after you have moved the black paper guides to fit the paper. So your 8 ½ " wide paper would be cut in half to 4 ¼" x 11" which is generally used for cardmaking. Likewise you can cut the 11" side in half in the back blade to get your 5 ½" x 8 ½" if you wish.

The two blades in the front are set at 4" so you would be left with a ½" strip from the 8 ½" wide papers and 2 x 4" and 1 x 3" if you cut it along the 11" edge. It is really a case of using a little math to see if you can get the size you are looking for.

The DreamKutz gives you a quick and painless way to cut card stock straight, even, and fast. DH especially likes it since he is the one usually enlisted the night before a swap is due to to make all these cuts with a paper trimmer. That is SOOO 2006!

Got Stickles?

We do! Eclectic Paperie just received a good shipment of Stickles. Aren't they fun to add a little pizazz, texture and shimmer to your projects? What I love about them the most is that it is a one step process to add to your creations. It's glitter and glue in one step. No need to worry about glitter everywhere and on you. It can add dimension just like a liquid lacquer.

This product is from Ranger and here is what their website states about Stickles:

Stickles™ Glitter Glue

Let your art "sparkle" with acid free, non-settling Stickles™ glitter glue! Easily write, dot, dash, draw and embellish on paper and rubber stamping projects, candles, memory album covers and more! Available in .5 oz. fine point applicator tip bottles.

• Acid free
• Non-toxic
• Non-settling
• Easy-flow tip
• Water wash-off

It's hard to tell but in this photo, I used ICICLE Stickles for the wings on the fairy. It sure beat putting glue on that little area ,then the glitter. But the fairy needed a little shimmer for her wings. Stickles are also great for flower centers, too.

If you haven't tried it, you'll have a hard time deciding what color to get.

BTW...if you haven't been back to the store in the last few days, we received lots of new things. Lil Davis papers and chipboard, Chatterbox Papers, Making Memories velvet brads have arrived. We also have the Bind it All and DreamKutz machines are back in stock, too.

Cosmo Cricket

Have you seen the Cosmo Cricket papers yet that we have in stock? Joy has worked feverishly at obtaining some great photos in order to put them up on the store site. Let me tell you that one of the hardest things about running an online store is being able to get the right photos so you can see all the beautiful patterns and textures of the papers. And these Cosmo Cricket papers are oh-so-cool....like way cool! They are double-sided, great weight and the colors are very fresh. We have four of their paper collections right now:

The Wanted line has that old western feel to it with papers like "Buffalo Bill & Calamity Jane." The colors hues are brown and sage.

The Jitterbug collection is very lively and fun in both colors and designs. Although there are some fun and bright colors here, the fact that the colors are muted mixed with brown tones make it more fresh. The design on papers like "Georgie Girl or Peggy Sue" can really lend themselves to be incorporated into a great card design or other paper crafts projects.

Dutchgirl is one of the newest collections that debuted at CHA. If you love that red with something like Caribbean Blue...these papers are for you. Papers like "Klara and Lena & Hans" are so pretty for any project. Can't you see Mother's Day cards with these designs?

Finally, there is the Halfway Cafe collection. The is also a new release. At CHA, the people at Cosmo Cricket were telling us that it was the song "Route 66" that inspired this paper line. Famous traveling pit stops like "Bartow, Flagstaff and Oklahoma City" are some of the paper design names. The colors are reminiscent of some of the diners along the way that you might stop at while traveling across the country.

There are still some Cosmo Cricket stuff that we haven't gotten on the website yet so you'll have to come back and check out the Buck Naked Collection. We have the lacing cards and big buttons in stock. The Buttons & More from Dutchgirl and Halfway Cafe are made to fit perfectly over the Buck Naked Buttons & Flowers. We expect to also get the lacing card kits in next month.

You have to check out the Cosmo Cricket website. They have the funniest button called "Dear Hubby Panic Button"...it's a box located middle of the left-side of the homepage. Click on it and it will give you a good chuckle so go check it out.

We have more paper lines that we received in last 2 weeks. Check out Joy's Blog in regards to Fancy Pants paper designs. Check back soon as I'll feature another product.
